Photography Project 52 – Week 49 – Selfie

What is Project 52? – Take one picture this week using the weekly theme of Selfie to prompt your creativity.

•  Why do it? – We hope to improve our picture taking skills, become more creative & make friends in the process! 

•  Weekly themes will be posted each Friday morning.  You are encouraged to share your images in the comments and on our Facebook page, or Facebook group.  All skill levels are welcome as this is an opportunity to share and learn together no matter when we start out.  We’ll do shout outs and favorite shares from the prior weeks assignments on Facebook and on our weekly theme articles.

Oh why did I choose selfie for this week?!?!  It has never been an easy thing for me.  Pretty much it is about focus.  How in the world do people nail the focus on a selfie?  Like really?   More then 50 selfie’s for me and only a few are in focus.  Some of my favorites were definitely out of focus.  Well, all that right there Is why I chose this crazy prompt.  Stretch and get better at something out of the ordinary.  One of these years, my goal is to do a project 365 or 52 doing only selfies.  Scary thought, but it might be a really cool experience when it is all said and done.  Very thankful for Heidi suggesting we do this 52 project in 2015!  It has been great.  There are only a few more weeks to go.  Wow!

 

My original idea for this post was to do a fun foot shot.  When I saw that Kesti went with the non face selfie, my track went to the typical face image.  🙂  Love her capture of the Chirstmas tree with all the festive color detail and cool bokah.

 

So here is me showing off my wrinkles.  lol    It’s my goal to be happy every day.  It’s a good goal.  Yep, totally!
