Project 52 – Week 1
There are two things you should know about me – #1 I am not a writer and #2 I am not a photographer.
I absolutely LOVE reading blogs and perusing the websites of amazing photographers. I particularly enjoy the work of photographers who are gifted at photographing everyday life. I realize my children are growing quickly and I really want to be able to capture those precious but fleeting moments. My husband recently indulged me in the purchase of a DSLR camera, so I am committed to learning a new skill. Recognizing (from many years of practicing musical instruments) that skill often improves drastically in relation to the number of hours spent, I have committed to a 52 Project – posting one picture a week for a year. Luckily I have some talented and encouraging friends! My college bestie, Kesti, agreed to join me in my commitment of a weekly photo. When my amazing photographer friend Shannon caught wind of it, she too wanted in on the action. So here are our first week’s photos!
The Mission – Share one picture a week using the theme prompt.
The Goal – Improve our picture taking skills & become more creative.
The Result – Sharing with other creative women as we accomplish this year long goal.
The Details – Weekly themes will be posted each Thursday. You can share your images in the comments and on our Facebook page, or follow along without posting. We’ll do shout outs and favorite shares from the prior weeks assignments on Facebook and on our weekly theme posts.
WEEK 1 – BOKEH
Christmas & New Year’s are a great time of year for bokeh!
Kesti had an obviously willing participant.
I’m never sure how willing my participants will be, but it I had a performer this time.
Here is Shannon’s capture.
Share your bokeh with us in the comments or on the Facebook page.
